Autumn & Aspens; Fall Foliage Hike 2.0

This hike is for teens and adults 12 years old and older.  *A legal parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 18 years old.

This hike is considered a "3/4-day hike" (see description below for mileage and time-frame).  This hike is for those who are active and comfortable at altitude and not experiencing any altitude sickness such as headaches or lethargy.  You must be comfortable hiking in various terrains, such as in dry, wet, and/or or snowy trail conditions and are injury free.

Colorado is known for their fall colors as hundreds of thousands of aspen trees change colors every fall.  But, the scene only lasts for a couple months.  We will hike along one of the many trails Rocky Mountain National Park has to offer and be amongst the fall aspens as we make our way to a majestic mountain lake and/or waterfall.  Fall offers some of the best hiking weather of the year.  And the chances are great that you'll see many elk as the bulls show-off during the mating season, known as the rut, and bugle, sing, cry out, and fight their way to guard and mate with their harem.

This is considered a "3/4-day" hike.  This hike will be approximately 8-hours round-trip, (*8-hour trip includes check-in, driving to/from trailhead, breaks, and approximately 5-hours of actual hiking).
