Description

This hike is for teens and adults 16 years old and older.  *A legal parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 18 years old.


This hike is considered an "all-day hike" (see description below for mileage and time-frame).  This hike is for those who have experience at elevation or have acclimated by completing two, 4-6 mile hikes this week (or similar), feel comfortable hiking in various terrains (both maintained and un-maintained trails), in dry, wet, and/or or snowy trail conditions and are injury-free.


The goal of this hike is to get you past the maintained trails into un-maintained hiking trails and/or trails marked by cairns and learn how to follow the trails and make you feel more comfortable navigating past maintained trails so you can take on your next adventure by yourself.  

TRIP LENGTH (HOURS)

This is considered an "all-day" hike.  This hike will be approximately 8-10 hours round-trip, (*10-hour trip includes check-in, driving to/from trailhead, breaks, and approximately 6-hours of actual hiking).  

AGES

16+

*A legal parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 18 years old.

HIke Rating/Mileage/Terrain/SKILL LEVEL/REquirements

Hike Rating:  Advanced/Advanced

Hike Mileage (round-trip):  10-14 miles

Terrain:  Maintained and un-maintained trails, dirt, rocks, high-steps, bridges, wet, snow  

Hiker Skill Level:  Advanced

Requirements:  Must have regular experience at elevation (ex: live at elevation or go to the mountains 2-4x/month) or have acclimated by completing two, 4-6 mile hikes this week (or similar), feel comfortable hiking in various terrains (both maintained and un-maintained trails), in dry, wet, and/or or snowy trail conditions, and be injury-free.
